PROCESS VS PRODUCT

One of the most valuable things I have learnt in process is that I am fathered in it.

Connie Mumo

Hey guys, I am Connie Mumo.

In my process one of the common battles I at times contend with is worry and anxiety. Fear that things will not go as they are supposed to. But this year, God has been thoroughly addressing my fears with His Perfect love. He’s been calling me out of a narrow and small space and into the vast expanse of His love. He’s been calling me out of small thinking into a bigger arena where He promises me that I will taste and see His goodness; that I will walk into His preparation- and His preparation is BIG. Do you know that God is prepared for you? Like really prepared for you. In your process you are not orphaned; you are Fathered- You have an inheritance and you are cared for.

Jeremiah 29:11 shows me that I have the one who was before time even became a thing, He was already setting up my life. He created borders in time and space within which I would navigate through in this life and get to know Him more and more.

From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

Acts 17:26-27

Process is for Knowing Him; if that’s not the point it’s not the fullness of experience prepared for us.

THE JOY OF PROCESS IS EXPERIENTIALLY KNOWING GOD AND THIS IS OUR GREATEST REWARD

We were set up by a love-crazed Father who did not put us on the earth and assign us to just do things outside of relationship with Him, No way!

The most gratifying processes are those adventured with when we have our wing man Jesus and His spirit teaching, helping and moulding us through unto the pleasure and will of the Father. The revelation of the fatherhood of God allows us to reckon process as good because the one leading us is GOOD!

If you Know His nature. You will not question His motives.

In Process God has a way of pruning, refining and moulding- It gets painful sometimes, uncomfortable and at times we question whether He is still good and whether it is love. It is in knowing His nature (experientially) that we can rest in His care when the impulse is to abort the process and call it quits. It is in knowing His nature that we can, in uncertainty of the future- trust that His plans are good. Though His grip is firm His heart is full of love. Yes He prunes and refines but His correction is not abusive.

I am here to suggest that discomfort in processes is sometimes the enlargement of your potential; the labour pains that come as a result of intimately knowing God unto a birthing and fruitfulness. I am here to remind us that in process when we want to be fruitful- the instruction afforded us in John 15 is to ABIDE. My prayer for us is that we do not compromise this prescribed way of organically bearing eternal fruit (the kind that gives God glory). It is in giving Our King, lover and friend our heart, delighting in Him and allowing the fruits of our secret place to manifest and still not have our heart.

As a parting shot see this excerpt I found last week on Instagram:

I am learning the promise wasn’t the miracle of pregnancy, but the miracle of his loyal presence, and that it has never left me, not for a minute.

The beauty of our process is that He is in it; He called us to it. We are assured of bearing fruit (eternal and good) because we are with God in the process.
