TRADE GOD’S WAY

‘FIRST THINGS FIRST

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Well, first things first.

It is impossible to even get ahead with trying to know or understand how to trade God’s way without having known who God is. I mean, don’t we struggle every day with trusting people we do not know?

Who is God? Well, we could fill up a whole book and probably not even exhaust the person of God, but let’s just talk about a few attributes.

God is faithful (1st Corinthians 10:13)

God is light (1st John 1:5)

God is the creator (Genesis 1:1)

God is love (John 3:16)

God is Spirit (John 4:24)

The list goes on and on, and we can only know of who God is from interacting with His word, and individually experiencing Him.

Knowing God, going ahead to know of His love and receiving the gift of salvation is foundational to anything else we could talk about. It is this truth that lays a foundation for a relationship with Him in the first place. He loves us so much that He gave His only Son that we may have everlasting life and not perish.

Romans 10:9

…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved.

Now, it is one thing to know the truth of this word, but it is a whole other thing to believe to the point of boldly confessing the Lordship of Christ over your life. Accepting Christ as Lord means you have allowed Him to take full control of every aspect of your life. It calls for a total surrender and submission to God, where you literally desire only that which He desires and believe it is good for you. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Moving on from here is dependent on our surrender. It’ll be really hard to fully experience the excellence of God without giving into His will and His plan wholly. Trading God’s way is primarily submission, and everything else will unfold.

Love and Light!

  1. Thank you…

Yes God cannot be put in a book 😭❤ He’s too grand.

I just saw the word surrender and how it ties to His Lordship… Surrender an submission is a heart posture I believe allows a flow of the power of God in our lives…

I am excited for this series and this space…

Very ready to be passing by here to feed on Jesus and good good reads ❤❤

    Thanks Wangeci.
